The night air wafted into the shop through the open window, it was a wonderful warm summer night in Wynsiph. A perfect night to go catch bugs or look at the stars but the Nightfall family were not doing that much to little Coraline's dismay, as usual it was a quiet time where her dads took a rest, though unlike them she was full of energy. Something just kept her from wanting to rest, she had long since wriggled herself from her fathers grasp and was adventuring the shop she lived in.

She first shot her attention to the button box, oh how she loved the many shiny pieces inside perfect things to collect for herself. She took one pretty shiny silver one and stuffed it into her mane, the perfect hiding place for now. Next she was on the hunt for the pets of the shop. She walked around the little clapping of hooves, the only noise on this still night. She soon found them all bunched in a corner, the coatala and two runeboos, Luckless was in the center of the pile breathing his green cape raising up and down, softly purring ever so slightly. Surrounding him was Stitches and Thimble, the runeboo duo rarely seen apart, the larger brown figure curled around the smaller blue one. They all looked so sweet sleeping it would be a crime to wake them up, she turned to go peruse the fabrics when she noticed the window. That's why it smelled like the outside, the window was open! Dads don't mind if she went out adventuring for a bit right? She knew her way around now. Yes it was time to go look around

After a bit of messing around she found herself outside, she flapped her back wings a bit very excited she loved the outside and now it was time for adventure. She walked around the empty streets, the lights of lanterns the only thing helping her find her way. She walked past many buildings, some very loud with the singing of wyngro she thought seemed a bit out of it, other buildings silent and calm. There was a lot of walking before she spotted the soft glow of the town center, the nova tree. She gravitated right to its shiny crystalline structure making her little bird mind very excited. She walked over to the tree and looked all around it before she paused, something else was there.

A new friend!

She smiles and flapped her wings

“Hi! My name is Coraline.
