sometimes less is better. It's very hard to know, when to stop. She did everything well, she wanted (i think so) to make calm mood, and that's nothing wrong with that. That's the idea. Daily deviations doesn't really have to be full of action and color... I mean, always critique from other people is good, but now it's just not working.. because it's really unreasonable. (At least i think that "plain" is not the reason to remove this drawing from DD.) Learn how to critique first. If you didn't like it, you could tell it in other way, not just calling people idiots and telling that they should feel bad just because other people liked their drawing.
