I really don't like getting involved with politics that much. People who disagree with me are usually very disrespectful, well at least from what I've seen. I don't watch CNN or FOX. I don't go around carrying picket signs telling people to "turn to Jesus". I don't worship Perez Hilton or Rush Limbaugh. Both of them are fat stupid idiots.
I'd describe myself as a moderate lean liberal. *quick, hide the children*.
Abortion I guess you could consider me pro-life since I think abortion should be avoided as much as possible (except in dire situations such as maternal health) and that I could never have an abortion, but you could also consider me pro-choice since I feel it is not my business to tell what another woman should do with her body. I am against partial birth abortion and late-term abortion, because it is usually done at the time where the baby can live outside the womb. Abortion is a pretty touchy subject but it's not something I get too into. To all those who say women use abortion as birth control, it's not like anyone ever dreams about having an abortion. I mean, who wants to? It's a hard decision that no one ever wants to make. This is why I support contraception, because it prevents the need for an abortion. Of course, no birth control is 100% effective but it's than having unprotected sex with a huge chance of you getting pregnant or getting STD's. Oh and if you're gonna say, "oh, sex is only meaningful if you have it inside marriage" or "condoms and birth control are evil", then it's obvious that you don't want us to enjoy sex without the consequences because you're jealous that you can't get laid. You think we are only used for procreation? Fine, be a procreationist. Go be like the Duggars and keep poppin' em out until your uterus breaks in half. Just don't shove your crap into everyone's mouths. If you anti-abortion zealots had any common sense whatsoever, you'd be teaching people contraception so that we don't have to kill as many babies. If you think birth control is selfish and kills babies, then you must think that masturbation is evil because you're killing over 500,000 sperm with each orgasm and that women are evil because they have periods and that causes the egg they fertilize to die. A life is a life, right? So...stop jerking off. But anyway, yes, I think it's important to try and prevent abortion because it's something no one wants to go through.
Affirmative Action Racist, at least I think. It's really lame that someone gets accepted into college because of their skin color. It's like those judges on American Idol who let some tone deaf trailer trash mom of six advance to the next stage because of her situation. There's no such thing as an easy pass. You have to work hard.
Death Penalty If the crime is bad enough, sure, go ahead. Just be sure it's the RIGHT person. I usually think the appropriate punishment is life in prison, so they can spend the rest of their life paying the price for the victim. Since America's death penalty is humane, it's probably better to let the criminal to suffer in jail than just...you know, die. However, some people really do deserve to die. As for the case of Junko Furuta, a girl who went through 44 days of unbelievable torture and unimaginable pain at the hands of three other men, those people who did that to her need to be punished so severely and killed slowly...slowly. It scares me to know what us humans are capable of. As for child molesters, I have a better idea.
Gun control I support gun rights, but only to those who can handle the responsibilities of owning a gun. A gun is in no ways a toy to be used for foolish horseplay. If you wanna play, get a nerf gun. Oh, and conservatives, Obama is not gonna take away your guns. That is a lie.
Healthcare Everyone deserves the right to healthcare, but not to the point where they can be spoiled off of it and don't have to pay for it anymore.
Immigration This doesn't have much of an effect on me, since I live nowhere near the border. Personally, I am against illegal immigration because it's illegal. Yet, they do take jobs no one wants, amirite?
Same-Sex Marriage It should, no doubt in my mind, be legal. There is no reason why it should be illegal. Religion is the weakest argument you can use since not everyone is religious. Also the whole homosexuals-will-hurt-our-children-and-screw-them-up-crap, come on, seriously! There are plenty of children with gay parents and they live very happy lives. Gay marriage will not affect straight marriage in any way. There will be just as many man/woman marriages as there will be gay marriages, since the gay population makes up a very small percentage of our nation (well, mine, at least).
Separation of Church and State I believe in God and all that jazz, but I definitely believe in this. If politics and religion ever mix, the nation will essentially fall apart. Our Founding Fathers were theists and deists. This country was founded on freedom of religion. Read the First Amendment. Basically it says, you are allowed to have religious beliefs, just don't shove them into other people's faces.
Sex Education Gotta love sex-ed, eh? As for abstinence-only classes, big no-no. Kids these days are having sex at younger and younger ages and it is important people learn about safe sex to avoid unwanted pregnancies and STD's. No, I am not saying we should teach kids about sex at younger ages, but that sex education is important for "adolescents". It is not your business to monitor other people's sex lives or to tell other people what they can or can't do with their lives. Besides, without sex ed classes, no condoms, no diaphragms, no Nuva rings, or fake penises will be shown in the classroom.
Taxes Should be moderated, but not raised. Lowering them could help the economy.
Welfare Poor people should have job opportunities created for them, but they shouldn't be completely banned from having welfare.

It's important to know that not every liberal is a baby killer, homosexual, socialist (whatever that means), tree hugger, or hippy.
It's important to know that not every conservative is a homophobe, people killer (death penalty), gunslinging maniac, bible-thumper, racist, or a fat white man.
It's important that you people know my parents will disown me if I ever become a die-hard conservative, and they won't like me if I become a hard lefty either. Also, I do not plan on becoming an extremist on either side. In fact, I think extremism needs to DIE.
