Anyway, this is Michael Reed. He's loosely based around the newsie because he is from a really weird au my tumblr friends and I have where it's modern times and everyone has superpowers. It's less weird than you think okay?

Bio:
You could say Michael Reed is just another average kid from Manhattan. Most of the time, he doesn't stand out. Brown eyes (hjadgsljaegdlyu ART STYLE HAS PLAIN HECKING EYES), brown hair, and chubby, he is one of the most average people that you'll see. But, there is one thing that forced him to leave his hometown.
He has powers!
It isn't exactly the most incredible thing, but he can stretch his body like a rubber band! But to do that he has to have, uh

because he can't just break the laws of physics whenever he wants. Also gives me a comfortable reason to draw a body type other than 'Thin child'. He can also tell when his twin brother, Ike(Another person rps as him hjgljfas) is close to him, and can fuse with Ike to become one big boi.

Backstory:
His mother (Cindy) used to be in a good relationship with Mike's biological dad(Tony). He was charming, and could stretch like Mike and Ike, but he also was involved in a lot of street and gang activity(:]]]]). When the twins were just 4 years old, Tony left and never came back. He was killed in a drive by shooting. Cindy, after being widowed, fell into a deep depression and couldn't work, and the twins had to take up responsibility over the house. At this time, the boys started to discover their twin related powers. One time they fused, and Ike stole one of Mike's teeth (HE NEEDS A REASON TO NOT HAVE A TOOTH OKAY). They couldn't really stretch because they didn't have enough mass(They didn't have a lot of food) for it to really be effectively done. When they were around 6, Cindy started seeing a man named Paul Smith. He didn't have powers, but he sold and made drugs and had lots of money. He made a naive little Mike smoke weed at his small age, and Mike smoked a lot when he was smaller, resulting in lung problems later in life (Not sure if weed irl would do that but let's just say since he was LITERALLY 6 it messed him up.)(Also, Mike will spam Paul Smith when he's high on his tumblr, here: cryptid-mike.tumblr.com/ ). A few years after being supported by him, Cindy finally moves in with Paul. At the age of 9, Mike and Ike are treated to a life of luxury, which basically meant Xbox and a lot of food. Mike made sure to eat enough food to still be healthy, but also be stretchy. A lot of times he'd come to school taller than most teachers and even though he looked weird as heck he was what most people called a chill kid.
That all changed when powered people became illegal.

Now, he is on the run from the law, and has picked up friends from his hometown and on the road along the way.
