I'm have recently using Fedora for 4 months and using Ubuntu since June 2023. I'd say both distros are great for Windows 11 alternative if the PCs aren't compatible to install Windows 11 although I do recommend with ZorinOS or Linux Mint if you're really new to use Linux. Also I recommend use any OS that based with Ubuntu because you can access with Steam (please note that some Steam games don't work on Linux) unlike some distros don't if you're not familiar with OS.
