This one is a little bit older but something I did after I saw a picture of a yeen eating himself while lions were around him. I read that, whenever animals feel pain, they naturally attack what's hurting them. In that case, the hyena's stomach had been ripped open so he kinda just kept biting at the wound. I also heard counter arguments that it was their way of trying to ward off the lions. Who knows, animals are weird.
