Description
Last week, I asked my girlfriend if she had a basement, since they’re really rare where I’m from. She told me she did and the next time I was over, she immediately led me downstairs, hoping to spook me because of all the horror movies I’ve watched. I put on a brave face but my nerves were already on edge. It was markedly colder and on the big, iron door were blood splats of slapped mosquitos. That the light didn’t work due to renovation only added to my discomfort. It took her a while to open the heavy lock and get the door open. We went inside and despite my pulse, which had started to pound somewhere along the descent, I looked around curiously with the torchlight on my phone. Because it was so dark, I wasn’t able to make out much at far distance, but I got the impression that everything down here was old and disused. I wasn’t about to say it aloud but it seemed like little more than a glorified garbage dump.
Suddenly, a loud metal noises break the silent, a monstrous and huge octopus plush is writhing atop the old bikes and stuffs. Its elongating body slowly came closer, revealing large, humanoid teeth and a jiggles toy eye. Its presence was accompanied by an odor that I oddly found to be suiting – rotten, putrefied fish. I awoke with a scream lodged in my throat, slime and stench clinging to my senses. I told myself I was never going into that basement again…
Thankyou for laurenloogie editing the story! Its Amazing!
Thankyou for JonathanWraith telling me about the basement, and spooked me with the octopus plush.
