Description SpongeBob was in his prime in 1999, and the show was great. Then they made The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in 2004, and it was awesome! SpongeBob was rising in popularity. Then, they did the worst thing they could possibly have done. They let Stephen Hillenburg go and made Paul Tibbit the acting showrunnner. Worst. Decision. Ever. He gave us episodes like One Coarse Meal, A Pal For Gary, Stuck in the Wringer, and let's not forget my least favorites, SpongeBob, You're Fired and Kenny the Cat. Those were horrible. Then it seemed like SpongeBob was about to die, until they made the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. That was an awesome movie, but it could never compare to the first SpongeBob movie. SpongeBob couldn't end here. They needed to fix him, and fix they did. They brought back Stephen Hillenburg and gave us great episodes like Squid Plus One, The Executive Treatment, Company Picnic, Pull up a Barrel, Lost In Bikini Bottom, Tutor Sauce, SpongeBob LongPants, Larry's Gym, Mall Girl Pearl, and my personal favorite as of now, Two Thumbs Up! Now I can honestly say that as long as Stephen Hillenburg stays, SpongeBob episodes will be made well for generations to come! Or at least until 2020. Either way, SpongeBob is back like in his prime. Sure, it'll never live up to 1999 or 2000 SpongeBob. Who could forget Patrick trying to open a jar and The Krusty Krab Pizza Song? But at least SpongeBob has a chance to stay alive. And that's why he's happy.
