Credit to SMG4 for the Content and Franchise

It’s a solid enough arc, though in my opinion the weakest so far

Pros:
* The character building for SMG3 is next level; this is how you make a classic villain even better

* The WOTFI arc finale deal SMG4’s been doing in recent years works well here; the whole arc is about the conflict between SMG4 and SMG3 and 3 trying to take the channel (a tale as old as time), and WOTFI is a tradition on SMG4 since year one so it fits to have a classic tradition be the finale of an arc about a classic rivalry

* Mario’s character improves; he mourns the loss of Greg and is upset because of what SMG3 did to his friends in the second half of the arc, plus that whole chase scene between Mario and SMG3 is legendary

* The rap is fire

Cons:
* The arc is kinda boring and the pacing was off a good deal; I honestly thought the arc was over when “It’s not SMG4?” came out. I get it was an act to display SMG3’s intelligence, and for what it’s worth he did a damn good job fooling me, but even then they could’ve had an extra factor that made me invested for what I’d later find out as the second half of the arc

Take the anime arc for example; after half one ended with Peach unbanned anime, the arc could’ve easily ended there, but there was another thing to get done: Meggy winning Splatfest. That was a plot point that kept me invested for next week’s episode, and the plot twist that the arc was not yet over worked greatly in my opinion. Not the case here, here it lost me and by proxy most causal SMG4 fans

* Kinda feels like a weaker version of the Lawsuit Arc now that the Lawsuit Arc has rapped up; better villain (albeit subjective), better story, more emotional gang death scene, better rap etc, most things they have in common I’d say the Lawsuit arc did better

That’s all I have. The first con is a big negative while the second is more minor in honesty, but the pros outweigh it imo. Thanks for reading and listening, I’m out
