Selkie-chan is my OC from my Digimon fan-fiction days ( www.fanfiction.net/s/341595/1/…). With the premier of TRI, I found myself thinking about her and the others, and maybe rebooting her origin story. The more I thought about her, the more I decided she needed a new look. Originally, in my head, she was simply a recolored, mute, small-sized gomamon. This was to enhance the initial jealousy of Gomamon (fear of replacement). But...meh. That wasn't working for me anymore.

So 2020 Selkie has some changes - no claws, almost no marks, down-turned ears...but she's still got those gorgeous blue lagoon eyes that Goma's really secretly taken with, and no voice.

I sketched her onto a 2.5x3.5" piece of cardstock, snapped a pic and inked/colored her via mouse in MS Paint. I did use a Gomamon image for reference, and damn am I surprised how well this turned out!!
