Description
Destan. The son of Enlil and Tivona and the spirit of water.Destan pawed at the ball of moss. The sun had set and Enlil and Tivona were still talking. They would always talk late into the night. Multiple times they would mention the name Nuri. Destan didn't know who this was. He often heard the other cats talking about how life in the forest was better but he didn't know anything about a forest. They lived in the mountains and no cat would tell him anything. They always went on about how he could be the savior but Enlil and Tivona wouldn't tell him anything. He was supposed to be the spirit of water yet they were hiding everything from him. He sighed and looked at the cave entrance. He saw Tivona walk up to him and he sat up.
"Mum?"
Tivona smiled warmly at her son. "Yes?"
"I want to go outside." Destan saw his mothers whiskers twitch.
"You go outside everyday."
"You know what I mean. I want to go beyond the mountains!"
Tivona hissed with despite "NO! It's forbidden to go beyond the mountains, even for us."
Destan lashed his tail "Why?! You and dad won't tell me anything, am I not strong enough, do you hate me!?"
The green she-cat licked her sons head affectionately. "Don't say that we love you a lot. It's just that..."
"What!? Why won't you trust me." Destan paused as he saw the hurt look on his mothers face. She looked away and then back at her son. He glanced away uncomfortably. "I just want to know."
"I'll tell you but not just yet. Something like this has been hidden from even the cats who were alive at the time."
The sea blue cat looked at the distant look in his mothers face. "Is it about why the spirit of fire isn't being born into any of the new cats."
Tivona flinched and in that moment he knew this was much bigger then he first thought.
