Colonel is pretty similar to each other. Even in characteristics. They both live a militaristic life style(He's named Colonel after all) and they both have compassion and respect strong opponents.

Colonel, X series, is actually half of what was supposed to be the perfect reploid. Iris was the other half. Her half was of the peaceful arbitrator, and Colonel's was of the strong-willed fighter.

The Network series is similar in the regards that they are each one half of a program. They have 3 different versions that explain what they are according to the game lore, manga lore, and anime lore. But all of them pretty much keep with the above about them being one half of a full program.
