No comic this week. This was more important than a simple joke. I avoid talking about current events for the most part on Super Sketchy Mario, but the world's in such a state right now. With this pandemic on our hands, we all need to be careful about our health. Not to keep ourselves healthy, but to protect those around us that could be seriously affected by the virus. I hope all of you are staying safe, keeping your spirits up however you can, and staying smart. Now, onto the subject of this little drawing. Rick May, the voice actor of Peppy Hare and Team Fortress 2's Soldier has passed away due to complications from the Coronavirus. Of course, he is not the only person we've lost, voice actor or otherwise. If you've stumbled onto this comic, then you've likely been touched by this man's work at some point whether that be playing Star Fox 64 as a kid, rocket jumping with the best of them in Team Fortress 2, or simply running across his work through his extremely quotable performances online. He's a joy to listen to and was probably a great friend to have. My drawing here takes on a lighter tone simply because that's how I deal with sorrow. I very much believe in the saying "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." Rick May is gone, but he left us with so much to make our lives better. He left his mark on the world and our hearts, and it's important that we never forget that. The best thing we can do is keep him alive in our memories. He was a great man, and we should never forget that. I've seen so much positivity out of remembrance for him, and I'm sure that he would be so happy to see the amazing things people are doing. Once again, stay safe out there. I wish you all nothing but the best.
