"...*YAWN*......welp. I knew this'd happen eventually. After having so many moderately hassle-less fusions with this project, there had to be at least ONE that ended up breaking that streak, and OF COURSE, it'd be the Dark evolution. I'll say it straight-up: Umbraeus essentially stands as the anti-thesis to Espellar. Where Espellar is calm and caring, Umbraeus is cold, broody, and even slightly tempermental. And, just like the Darkrai it shares DNA with, it also boasts the power to create nightmares amongst the sleeping masses...though, with a slight twist: it actually ABSORBS these nightmares and...more-or-less kinda feeds off of them, encapsulated by its Dreamcatcher ability. (This, combined with it's Black Moon attack that's essentially a Sleep-inducing Earthquake makes it a PAIN to fight.) Regardless, this means pretty much all of the staff who has been studying Umbraeus, myself included, have been feeling quite...*YAWN*...under the weather from the irregular and disrupted sleep it causes. A shame, because I can tell it doesn't do this on purpose; it just a part of what its DNA is made of...and I think Umbraeus knows that. I've gotten more than a few witness reports where they saw it TRYING to tuck itself away in the more secluded parts of the lab, presumedly to stay away from other people and Pokemon that its powers could end up affecting. However...given the fact that this is an ACTIVE labratory with staff, FUSEmon, and even clients running around the entire facility pretty much non-stop...what Umbraeus is trying to do is very comendable...but next to impossible, nonetheless."

"Hmm...I'll see if I can come up with a solution myself. Perhaps a device that can negate, or at least reduce the effects of its ability; maybe then, it can start to feel a little more at ease. But, for now...*YAWN*...I'm gonna flag down Espellar before catching up on some much needed sleep. Good night..."

...Yeah, you pretty much saw this one coming. Both CRT and I agree; having the Espeon/Umbreon duo in this project and NOT having them fuse with the Cresselia/Darkrai duo would just be criminal. It's too perfect. And hey, I get to draw Darkrai stuff again after however long, which is always fun, as it's definitely one of my favorite 'mons to draw!

Anyways, bias aside, this is probably my favorite design out of batch so far, with Zerolteus being a close second. The combo of Darkrai's ghost-like appareance and the glow of Umbreon's rings really work well together and helps to create a very foreboding appearance. (Plus, I already have a bit of experience fusing Darkrai and Arceus if my veteran watchers remember Darkeus. )
