Part of a set of three images done for a Mecha/Kaijuu themed art show hosted by Niles Doubleday.

The idea with this one was to have something more loose and painterly to go with the much more rigid and "corporate" feeling of the other images. So hopefully the contrast between everything shows why I love these mechs/pilots; they're calm and collected until they just tear shit apart.

I had to mess with some of the stuff in this one canonically to make a better image. I liked the glowing eyes/eye-patch on Asuka from Evangelion 3.0 but the blue color for the eye patch was one too many colors and her side of the images is already dangerously colorful as it is.
