"Zahur, don't fall behind now."The chiding voice of her father made the little cub squeak a quick apology, skipping along to keep up with her dad. "It isn't my fault you walk too fast! I'm so little I can't keep up!" She pouted, but managed to keep pace this time. The mighty King, Kovu, rolled his eyes at his daughter, cracking a smirk. "One day, you'll be just as big as me, then you'll outrun your old man. But today, I need you to keep up, lessons are important."
"Of course, dad! I wanna learn everything, I'm the princess!" Zahur giggled, gazing up admirably at her father as they continued walking. He passed by a group of water buffalo, who gave him a respectful nod, while they seemed to tower over Zahur. She lagged behind, catching glimpses of the huge beasts, as they stared back at her, smaller eyes almost unreadable.
This is my kingdom! Puffing out her chest, she smiled back at them, quickly running to catch up with Kovu, giddy with energy. "Daaad, that was cool! Is that who I'll rule over one day?" "Absolutely, Zahur..." "Wow!"
