I needed something to practice this newfound power with.

And with regards to giving Jade a (fonic?) rifle - I always found it strange that within the entire world of Tales of the Abyss, Legretta is the only character who fights using guns. Clearly, guns are available for use in Tales of the Abyss' world because Hod has them as a security system, and...

...I mean, really, now. >_> There have to be more projectile weapons out in that world.
