Description
In swamp nestled in a forest between two towns a young siren has made her home. Sirens in general are territorial towards their own kind, and being just a young child Kah'luti kept her distance from the older ones. A traveling trader caravan had often come through the forest going between the towns. A young boy traveled with his family on these caravans. During one of the breaks when they stopped to rest, Jeff grew bored and wandered away. It was then he befriended the young siren and gained an unlikely companion. As years went on they both grew, but Jeff still looked forward to taking supplies to the neighboring town, all so he could see his friend. One dark might his father vanished, his mother and the other members of the traveling merchants convinced he had been taken by the sirens of the swampy forest. Desperate Jeff sought out his friend. Begging her he swore himself to her, yo what ever she desired, if only she'd help find his father. Having taken a liking to him, and seeing him as 'hers' she did not want to see him upset. Kah'luti set out to search the dens of the older sirens. Finding the man she snuck into thr lair and slew the other siren before she was aware of trespasser. With ever one of its own kind a siren kills they take on the magic essence of their victim. Claiming the swamp as her territory, Kahlu either killed or ran the rest away. She grew in and and strength, becoming a young siren queen. And at her side Jeff ensured the villagers of both towns knew her as a protector and not a threat. Shrines were built for them to leave offerings, in exchange for safe passage. .....

Beyond tired and bored while I've been sick I fiddled with this image. Not fully pleased with it, but it's a start.
