~cassidypeterson beat me to it, but is this a reference to the famed serial killer in England during the Industrial Revolution (based in fact, but grew famous through stories) Sweeney Todd the Demon barber of Fleet Street? (also a musical, Sondheim rules for life.)
All these people keep saying that it's creepy/disturbing. To me, this is an image of power vs. restraint more than just plain. "let's freak you out." If you don't look at the face, his body doesn't appear to be straining horribly much. It's body vs. face, you know? I like that a lot, and this is definetly a fav.
I love the skewed angle, and the lightning adds a lot to the imprisoned feel... this is the epitome of solitary confinement to me...

This is TRULY in my vein of style....Well maybe NOT all my art style but my way of thinking anyway....i have a few aphex twiny looking pics in my gallery...."CHAOS IN A PHEXY MIND" is one....
I would LOVE to do this to someone i know....What's happening in the pic i mean....with the enlarged mouth etc....someone NEEDS to make a movie about some of this weird shit....as the crap being churned out in mainstream cinema is below LOW....

This is probably the first piece of art here at DA that got me shivering for real, mostly because it's a real picture so it makes it believable. Just thinking about having this guy as your stalker...smokes...

bloody beautiful. this is a well deserved DD. you've already been told by all the previous comments what is right about this image, so i'll just say "ditto" to all that and point out the one minor flaw that i can see... his clothing, especially the pants, are much to clean and shiny for the environment. the writing on the shirt is a good start, but he needs to be roughed up a little more. mess with the pants. and kill the highlight on the shoes. some scraping and tearing should have occured during the restraining process.
