After just setting up a horse club, Nickolai discovers this event...traveling across North America on horse back? Sounds like an ideal trip. So he uses this adventure to distance himself from the massive project he's undertaking to catch his breath, think about his future plans, and to rest and recuperate in nature. However challenging that may prove to be...

He brings two horses from Swan Lake Stables, Jinx and Fable. Jinx already originates from America, coming from a herd in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Coincidentally, parts of the route crosses over this range. It only seemed right to chose Jinx as one of the horses.

The other horse is Fable, a young stallion. He decides to bring Fable along because he thought it would be a great experience for this young horse, before he begins his career. He is also very sturdy, and being a Fjord X he is naturally resilient against mother nature if she creates a difficult scene.

Hugo is a GSD, and had been adopted by Nikolai a couple of months ago. He had chosen to bring Hugo because it would give him additional company. Due to his breed, Hugo was an excellent choice to bring along with on Nikolai's adventures due to his intelligence, loyalty, and protective nature. Even within the couple of months of knowing each other, they have bonded well.
