So, this will have to do instead.

Great job!!!

That's beautiful.. it looks really cold. Which is good for me to look at, since I'm in the middle of a very hot Australian summer. Most people like the summer, but it drains my energy, so I just have to sit inside and look at this image.

I have a creative suggestion also. The clouds pattern that you use for the misty effect looks a bit recognisable and two-dimensional. You may wish to try running a blur over the clouds pattern before applying it to the image, I think it would look more natural.

I know its summer in teh southern hemisphere!

but in India , though it is winter, the maximum temperature at my city never goes below 26 and minimum never goes below 10 ( in Bangalore) (celsius/centigrade)

puremyth In reply to IceQueen-- [2004-12-18 15:43:13 +0000 UTC]

I'm in Perth, so usually we'd have it worse, but yeah 35 degrees really sucks!

(we're talking centigrade, for all you US people who think we're insane)

IceQueen-- In reply to puremyth [2004-12-19 02:16:54 +0000 UTC]

yeah well normally we have a nice sea breeze to cool it down... but it was a really hot wind coming from the evil desert...

and today its really hot and muggy

Swaroop In reply to puremyth [2004-12-18 06:42:24 +0000 UTC]

the mist is a product of multilayering!

and if I blur as u suggested , may be it will look more realistic . . .but it would take away the volumetric effect of the fog

and I think in high windspeeds, fog is concentrated as whiffs

puremyth In reply to Swaroop [2004-12-18 06:45:51 +0000 UTC]

Maybe the different fog layers could be blurred a different amount? It wouldn't take much. I just hate seeing that recognisable pattern. But never mind -I'm sure it's not familiar to many people, so it doesn't matter.

Loving it to bits.. but yeah, I can see what ur saying about the 2d look of the mist.. looks like one flat layer, but im not gonna complain, i couldnt do it that well myself...
