Description This bold hawk had a lot of park goes mixed up. I kept hearing of a Perigren Falcon hunting the Cedar River Trails Park, but I kept missing it. As I was driving out, I spotted it! As I got closer, the silhouette didn't tell me anything (nor did the pics, note can't walk and take pictures at the same time). This is what I got when I settled in very close...looks like a Cooper's Hawk to me. Don't do hi-key stuff very often, weather forced my hands. This is late afternoon, the fog never lifted.
Enjoy!

I really love the way you did the border for this, that looks neat. ^_^ This is a lovely, clear shot, the focus seems better on this one than on some of your other photos. Coopers hawks are usually kind of hard to find, so lucky you for getting this lovely shot..

wow!!! is he gripping some rodent in his talon???? Amazing shot yet again Rob... You know, you should take a trip to the Nisqually National Wild Life Refuge park... there are soo many birds there. You would be in paradise... * Aurora-Marille and I both went there and we thought of you when we saw all the birds and some other photographers with their huge telephoto lenses. There is even a Pair of Bald Eagles and their adolescent that live there... we saw all three in the same tree. Anyways. Great shot Rob!
