fanart for the movie Best In Show. I hadn't watched it in a long time and I enjoyed it more than I did when I watched it first - so much that I had to watch it again. and again with commentary. I love that my favourite part in that movie is when the Toy judge goes "MAY I HAVE THE ITALIAN GREYHOUND OVER HERE, PLEASE." I whooped. I admit it. yes both times. >>;so yeah, I took the opportunity to doodle the doggies and their people the second time I watched it, and I scanned this and had it lying around on my comp before I decided to slap some colour on it. the only parts I really like about this picture are Hubert (the bloodhound, I had to pause the movie so I could study those awesome wrinkles) and the Shih Tzus (eeee Tyrone and Miss Aggie. too cute! <3). I am amused that I drew Hubert coming on to Beatrice, though, in his doofy scenthound way. no idea why.
eh. I want to draw better fanart, and I want to draw all the peoples too. o.o more coming eventually, I hope.
all dogs belong to themselves and their kennels/owners/whoever.

I love that movie. It's so stupid and there's a bunch of inacuracies, but it's still awesome. 
I think you did a wonderful job on all of them. Bloodhound wrinkles are so hard, but you pulled it off. The Pug's hillarious, and I love the expression on the Weim. The Shih Tzus are down right adorable. ^.^

ahaha oh gosh yes. I also really respect them for ad-libbing all the scenes, it's like RP with no timelag! and I've taken an acting class, improvising on the spot is really hard for me. they've done a bunch of other movies in the same vein and I need to go look for and watch them all.
bloodhound wrinkles are hard, but so much fun to draw. that dog was absolutely gorgeous. maybe I should upload the Hubert sketches too.

oh yeah, I had to throw in Kipper. he was less psycho in the movie because real life dogs always are, but I figured it was fair. xD yes and I figured you would like the Shih Tzus.

That was actually the reason I rented the movie in the first place. I was like 'Ah, shih tzus!' and rented it... and fell in love and bought the dvd the next week XD

I didn't get it when I first watched it - I was a lot younger then - but now I think it's so funny. xD plus the individual scenes and character interactions are all ad-libbed!

and yet, some stuff is HILARIOUS when you're younger. the first time I ever heard the word 'sheesh' used in context, I remember laughing myself silly for about five minutes. I just thought it was the funniest word ever. my brother and I also have a lot of shared jokes based on things that amused us when we were younger - when we first hear 'officer' mispronounced as 'ossifer' I remember that was a huge hit with us as well.
it is real acting, it's just improvisation. which is insane to me. it's like RP with no timelag! xD
