Description Alrighty, yes i know it's a rather large picture, but i wanted to let you see the detail that i put into this piece.
the picture here is the ink for the first serious use of my new watercolor paints. i wanted to lay out a rather nice picture that would work well for accepting the paints. i think this worked. ^..~

the medium here is India Ink applied using lettering dip-pens. that's right... good ol' traditional pen-and-ink style (just like using a quill and a bottle of ink!) i used 2 different sized nibs here for this picture: the C-4 which is the #4 of the calligraphy set, and an extra fine point artist's nib for the finer details. the main benifit of this method is that the india ink is waterproof (DON'T SPILL AT ANY COST) but it won't run or smear when you apply the watercolors over it.

let me know what you think of this piece, and be sure to make yourselves ready, i'll be uploading the finished piece tomorrow, and it'll have full color from watercolor paint!
