The engines of the Skarloey Railway were excited for Christmas. Each year, Mr. Percival would have a party for the engines at the shed, and oftentimes the engines and their crews would exchange gifts. This year would be special, as it would be Proteus' first Christmas ever, but she was new to the concept. The engines were at the Wharf when she overheard Rheneas and Sir Handel talking about it. "Rheneas, what's Christmas?" She asked, curiously."Well" Rheneas began. "Christmas is a holiday that people celebrate. People and their families gather together, and on Christmas Morning, they all get together and exchange gifts, then they have a big meal together to celebrate." He explained, tersely. "Mr. Percival is having a party for us engines on Christmas Day, 25th December. Of course, engines can't eat food like people, but our drivers share snacks, and we and our crews exchange presents. It's all good fun." This gave Proteus an idea.
"Sir Handel, I'm going to get you a present!" She said. Then a realization came to her. "Wait...what's a present?"
