One of my sketches I did while sequestered in Karlsruhe, Germany last year.

My family had a pet turtle that was the same variety of this one -- red eared slider. She had the same smug face on her as this one!

One of the sources of endless fascination that Senior Taco brought to me was the likeness she held to a hamburger when she was held with two hands on either side of her shell. Just like a slimey, green, hard hamburger. I could ever so slightly feel the twitch of muscles in my arms as they wanted to habitually bring the turtle toward my mouth and sink in a juicy bite. That turtle face looked at me, daring me.
