Sooo... I just really like the song "Demons" by Imagine Dragons, so I decided to work on this. It's a frame-by-frame animation I drew as an animated video to go with the music. I muted this upload so only the animation is visible, but the entire thing with the song playing in the background can be found here:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tzi9T9β¦It took around 5 hours per day over 18 days, so around 90 hours total. I used Paint Tool SAI to draw each frame and compiled the video using Corel VideoStudio X6.

dude... this is just... so amazing. i absolutely love it. it took about 10 minutes to get the song to Β play with the animation but it was so worth it :3 i've recently gotten an obsession with this song so i was so excited to see this.Β

Possibly, but I'm not entirely too sure... right now, animation wise, I'm working on a simple rotoscope (tracing over a live-action video into animation) so maybe I'll finish that.

Actually, my intent on making this was so that I could use it as a sample for a Digital Arts and Animation club I want to start at my school. I'm not sure how many people would actually be interested, and not sure if I have the time 'cuz Gr12 is probably gonna be busy with uni applications and whatnot, but whatever. Do you guys have any arts clubs like this there?

That's awesome! I personally loved the sketched style and I think the club is a great idea! We used to have a digital arts club but it ended up just being a group of kids that made the school magazine that was sent out with report cards and no one really ever read... -_- But I definitely think you should give it a try! ~

Although I'm not really into deep emotional type of subjects, I really like this work.Β
I can really tell that you put in a lot of effort into it. If there's one thing I'd like improved it's the animation, it couldn't hurt to add more frames here and there however the style really makes up for it.

Thanks ^_^ I only drew it at 5fps, and a lot of the scenes are just stills b/c I really didn't want to work on this for very long. And you can probably tell that the sketchy kind of style was also because of that ._."
