One of the last shows that I truly went out of my way to follow was 'Transformers Prime', a show that (to me) had one of the cooler premises for Transformers, had some awesome lore and had some slight connections to one of the cooler Transformers video games (War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron), but it sadly didn't last too long. This weird (and apparent) 'no more than three seasons' mandate for Transformers shows that Hasbro apparently enforces.

One of the problems this creates is that some storylines and characters get either wasted or poorly resolved. Case in point, the villainous villainess Airachnid, the cunning and slightly creepy female Decepticon that had some rather nasty history with the Autobot, Arcee. She was a cool concept (a more backstabbing/devious Blackarachnia without any chance of redemption and with no loyalties) and quite a badass. She gets put on ice seemingly halfway through the second season, and is only brought back for a one-shot where she gets infected by a newly introduced (and promptly forgotten) virus that creates bizarre 'energon vampires/zombies', and gets dumped on some unknown location by Soundwave... her only company the VAST insecticon army she had at her command... who were lining up to offer themselves to their queen's desires.

And THAT was the last we ever saw or heard from Airachnid. Not even the semi/pseudo-sequel series 'Robots in Disguise' brought her up, so she's just OUT there... with ZERO resolution.

So this is basically MY idea for a final fate of the badass bot bitch.

After who knows how many years/cycles spent feasting on her vast Insecticon horde, and probably anything else robotic she could get her hands on afterwards... has not only mutated the virus, but also Airachnid herself into something... far different than she used to be. And lo and behold... she's finally made her way back to Cybertron... home of her old enemies... as well as a HUGE source of energon.

Dubbed this version 'Airachnicron'.
