Description
A set of wallpapers, sized 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1600x1200 is in the zip file. The tree was created with Apophysis. Every night when I was a child I would fall asleep while staring at the light in the hallway. I'd play tricks with my eyes by staring directly at the bulb, then shutting them tight and pressing my lids down until I saw fractal shapes like trees spreading over my sleepy conciousness.
This was a part of the Neosynthesis Chronocle 19 titled "Texture."

Haunting without being evil or depressed. It seems as if a tree designed by ZdzisΕaw BeksiΕski is stretching from a cliff.

(Whoops... I think I messed up... crap... I definitely messed up with this somewhere... sry... first day... )
Anyway, I think this is a really great piece of art you have here, a dark-ish feel, though not necessarily sinister or evil... just comes to show that darkness isn't necessarily bad. Although I don't think that's what you had in mind, that's what art is - getting people to look at the same thing and experiencing a varied scope of emotions. I like it... It's great, man!

Yes, I totally wanted to evoke a macabre but peacecful feeling with this piece so your comment made my day! Glad you like it!

Whoa... not that I know what fractals or anything is (I'm ignorant when it comes to graphics design... or much anything else, as a matter of fact), but I think this is definitely a very nice piece of work. And the mood and tone kind of reminds of... myself, lol. -D man, great work!

Neat work, Stacy!! I can just see this ''clinging'' to a rocky craig, too. Like layering it over a silhouette of a photo of a rocky outcrop on a cliff or mountain. Like the way you layered it over the cloud background...love it!!

Exquisitely done. It almost feels like the tree is being ripped from the ground by some terrible wind or force unseen in the picture. What a wonderfully powerful image. Ya done good.
