Haha... :b I asked because it doesn't look like the overly digital-looking stuff photoshop does.

you underestimate the program.. Its a matter of performance, if you slit a man throat with razor or shoot his chest.

Ahaha, makes sense. Did you use cs5?

I'm using cs 2. The new one got all the nasty features and work flow changes which is quite confusing and memory hogging, all which are unnecessary at the moment. Got the 3d things with it which is nice but I'm using other program to paint and sculpt 3d surface at the same time.

before that, you need to reach certain stage of control of saturation and composition in your work, try lurk around in my scrap page there is few monochromatic samples.

Yes, it is important to have a good preparation, a sketch or maybe a photo. I try to become better.

this is truly astonishing, I'd do anything to live there haha you've got all the details so well yet it's still a bit rough at the same time, and the water looks so realistic!

i think Zebes is reffering as "he still lives in our minds". Like a way of praising all of what he did when he was alive.

Nice work, just feel like the passage between middle and background is too abrupt.
Would like to visit that place though
