The Announcement
Lady Ysma Thae is a woman who has been pushed past her breaking point. She’s left her family’s sprawling estate behind and taken to the muddy, treacherous road with one sniveling servant at her side. She is driven by a singular impulse, spurred ever onward in pursuit of one bloody goal.
Murder burns in Ysma’s heart, and she will not rest until it’s satisfied.
She is willful and determined, but she knows that she can’t hope to succeed on her own. So it is that she finds herself traveling with a caravan bound for Eordr’s capital, searching for someone whose capacity for violence can match her desire. She finds such a man in Azhret, a half-orc bastard and sellsword who is more than happy to exchange her coin for a life.
CHAINS is a free, fantasy web comic which will be updated on the 1st and the 15th of every month starting in January 2018.

Azhret
Azhret is a half-orc, standing about 6'6" tall. His skin is an ashy gray, with darker, spots near his temples. He has amber eyes and shoulder-length black hair. He has a vicious scar that runs from his right brow to the left side of his chin; that same wound obliterated his right tusk, leaving him with a permanent sneer. He wears simple clothing, is never seen without his bastard sword on his hip, and in battle wears an oft-patched brigandine with battered plate armor on his arms and legs.

Ysma Thae
She is a human woman of noble birth, 25 years of age, with soft pale skin and eyes as black as night. Her raven hair is often loose, or tied up, with delicate ringlets framing her face. She is petite and thin with an average bust. She wears elegant flowing gowns of silk or lace. Gems sparkle atop the rings on her fingers, one in particular being her wedding ring. There always seems to be an aura of mystery about her.

1. The art (of any style) must include one of the two characters listed above, Azhret or Ysma.
2. If less than 10 entries have been made by the submission date, the deadline will be extended.
3. You may take creative freedom with your design! If you require more information about character back stories or design, please just ask.
4. NSFW submissions are allowed. I can appreciate artistic nudity, but no pornographic material please.

So, you already saw the journal entry share, where I told you I would be entering the art contest, which I'm super excited to take part of. I'm doing art of Azhret and I just had a few questions, if you don't mind me asking?:
1.) You describe him using a Bastard Sword and Brigandine along with plate armor. I just wanted to get some insight and ensure I'm correct, so his clothing matches your description. Are you setting your story in a sort of Medieval setting?
2.) Do you see him wearing colors such as Brown, Tan, Dark Green, Maroon, and Blue? I keep picturing him as a perfect character for a D&D setting.

1. The setting will be medieval fantasy - you're exactly right!
2. Whatever he wears will be very practical and plain. So long as the colors are dull, or more on the desaturated side, I think it will fit the vibe of his character. Funny enough, he created fora D&D setting!
