Clay polymer, paper mache, and real maple tree bark. I made this piece for my old friend Russ. The polymer clay had dried out, and despite kneading it with castor oil, it was not easy to work with.

Martin Maplethorne lived in a hollow bough,
Of a broad and brawny Maple tree.
