Wow, this is a horrible reference, but it should get ya going a little on how to make one of these.
Here's some info:
Anti-social to species other than their own, they only occasionally speak to other creatures.
They communitcate with soft yelps, whistles, and clicks. Since their hearing is exceptional, they don't have to be very loud to communicate, therefore attracting less attention.
They are nocturnal, the eyes are always white and black. Body patterns are always completely unique. Any shape or color is acceptable. Please note that they always have the same foot markings. They live in trees and are able to run very quickly for short bursts to get up trees if put in danger. They look fox-ish but act a little like cats. They're skittish and shy, so befriending one if you are not in its clan is very rare. They are about the size of a small dog. They're also an intelligent species, so they are not pets.
They aren't pack oriented so they will travel in smaller clan-like groups. 4-5 Iahs are in one group. They bond to mates for life so it is very unusual for mates to not be from the same clan. Litters consist of one or two pups.
Males are just a little bigger and stockier than females, they have bigger chests and shoulders, smaller flank, ect. They like to have something to hold onto and are very clingy. They don't like the ground, so if they have the opportunity to ride on something else that is walking around then they will.
This is no longer an MLP only species. Feel free to make one even if you hate ponies' guts!
