I like it, but I think the sun should look more like a disaster zone.
The edges should have volcanic explosions coming off it, you know how the sun looks.
A little too perfect on the edges.

I've never drawn/painted/otherwise made the Sun, but you should make the texture smaller toward the edges and larger toward the center, to make it look like it's bulging out.
