I've been wanting to do this for years. And I'm glad I managed to finish part one of this.Yeah, I'll make one for the feline too.
Ok created this character in 2003. She wasn't something representing 'me' back then. I used to draw comics on notebooks back in middle school, she used to be named "Sparky" I think, I will need to look at the comics when I go home fff.
2003 - first design, if I may call it a design. Just a GSD mix mutt thing. Nothing special.
2004 - a silverwolf, I used to go online with the silverwolf name, but no real account or anything that remained with that name. I think it's what brought the 'silverdeni' later on. She used to appear in some of my notebooks.
2005 - Wolf/Dog mix, we may call it Dingo nowadays. The very first character that represents 'me'. Entered the Balto world with the silverwolf, but I wanted something that defines 'me' more. Her design looked like Balto, quite a lot. I added the fringe / spikes. And the blueish / teal eyes.
2006-2007 - same species, added the scarf on her. Eye patches disappeared. They did progressively until it stuck with the character. She used to be seen in most of my 'emotional' pictures, hence her expression.
late 2007-2009 - again, same, her colours are brighter, shortened the tail. She gets her first dogtag which is blue. And the striped socks. Always loved stripes.
2009-2010 - Abused the saturation tool in most finished pieces of this character. Liked the colours so I kept them for a while. Dogtag changed to grey as she was mated to Mushy.
2010-early 2011 - JAUNDICED. Abused the saturation tool more. Dropped the striped socks and added the stripes on her back instead. Spiked the fluff on her elbows, cheeks and 'mane'. Extended the tail. Blame Mushy for that XP
late 2011-today - final design, markings went from brown to very dark brown / almost black. Main coat is orange like a Dingo.

Heh. My character has gone through very few changes over the years. Slightly more belly pudge, and scars behind the knuckles. XD

In the 'late 2011-today' bit, by 'went from brown to very dark brown/black,' don't you mean that the markings are what changed? It's a bit unclear if you don't look at the picture.
Other than that, I love this! It's always amazing to see how artists' work has changed over time, be it their style or a character like this. Can't wait to see the feline development sheet!
It's also interesting to see what influenced Deni's design and how she's changed. I never would've thought that she had her roots in shpeherds.

And yeah sort of had the roods in that gsd, but that char was just a comic character I used to draw a lot xD her basic design starts at the 2005 one hehe

Huh. I've always wanted to do one of these, but I've never stuck with a character long enough... Probably because I haven't been on deviantART for more than a year, so my journey's really only just beginning.
I love seeing these! All the poses are very expressive, and I really really like the bulk/attitude of silverwolf

Very nice! I actually scribbled up something like this with my own 'sona the other day, to try and help get myself out of an artblock rut. It's a nice way to see how your character has grown and changed with you over the years~

I feel so bad changing my fursona she's been the same for years and I just hope I can settle on something me and my bf like <3333 that represents me but until then she'll be a gray and white cat ;u; I love your changes though <333 it's great to see the development

Amazing how characters evolve over the course of 10 years.
Such a shame some artists out there lack originality and instead rip-off others designs.

Well, we all tend to start as 'rip offs' of what we like. It's a part of developing.
Plus you could argue there really isn't such a thing as 'originality' anymore...

Sadly not any more, no. But, it doesn't take a lot to be creative.
It's just a theme that many new artists on the scene tend to follow.
They would rather take others' ideas and hard work than think of something for themselves.
It's sad really, there's so many amazing artists out there who don't get the recognition they deserve
because of all these people who rip off other artists taking the glory. Unsettling it really is :<
