Description
An entry for PokemonDaily 's contest. Idea shortly: take a fairy tale/myth/legend and incorporate Pokémon into it.So.
Phantom of the Opera...starred by lunar duo Darkrai & Cresselia. Because if there must be a crossover between PotO and Pokémon, I can't find any other ones (even humans) to fit this thing... Sparkling rubber duck Cresselia is definitely good Swedish soprano.
...Floating candles are actually new pokémon Hitomoshi/Litwick (fire ghost)...I don't really like them but I thought they fit well to this pokémon theme so why not...
Liner, black ink, white ink, colour pencils, copics.
Original is SOLD.

Cresselia and Darkrai in Phantom of Opera - yess x) Now those candle monsters at least have a good reason to exist. I wouldn´t wonder if they´d fly around in one dark villa.
Water effects in the middle or black are really really prett< <3 Especially because of different colors - but Cresselia is the best xP She could be either signing here ot just have a "wow" expression -whatever it is I like it x)
One nice nice piece. And that contest idea was something better than common “draw monster XY In cool pose”.
You always manage it to have one strange timing xP I washed Phantom of Opera (Musical movie) just two days ago because I care about that story. Sadly it was too much singing. (Oh well... surpirse surprise. It was REALLY a musical movie <__<" I was lucky when Mr.Phantom said a damn sentence after somewhat 20 minutes after she saw him first x"D Just wondered what German voice sounds like… hrm… I guess that voice actor had one good paid job for less work x”D) ... There is no good movie about it I guess D: But at least the story is (not) nice.)
...If Pokémon would wear clothes Cress would need that dress /D Even thought without legs it is strange - inside of that boat she looks pretty awesome with it x)

I listened a way too many times whole main Phantom of the Opera song...in many languages. I love the Italian version, it's so powerful. <3
If you as from me, Cresselia sings.
Hehehe. |3
...And I should be happy that usually only so called children's movies (and cartoons and 3D-things) are dubbed here, subbing works better. Besides I hate life action movies where speak is dubbed... <_<
Dresses do not fit for cosmic rubber ducks. D| Cresselia is not anatomically good to wear any clothes. ... Eventhough this appeared better than I expected...

I should try italian version then :> I only know Nightwish version, original English and German (movie version please that other one is nothing for my taste <__<") one. Funny fact: I never hear any difference in female voice. All can sing high and nice but males are horrible different x"D
...When you tell someone in Germany "You know in Finnland Movies are not dubbed" they first ask "What´s dubbed?" and second reaction would be a "TF"-reaction in face. NO. I did NOT know that there are any countries who don´t get a translated version before Girl who was a year in Finnland told me so o_ó Germans are so... spoiled D; You don´t need English to survive here. Everything is translated. Really EVERYTHING /D It is almost impossible to find a game that is English only. So movies are. English movies do not appear here. And I personally only watch English versions a bit when I´m interested what originals sound like. Digimon dub is failed but I can´t imagine to have any real movie not translated /D When you grow up with those things it´s impossible to live without it then x)
(I watched Nightmare before Christmas in English when German version was nowhere to find. So yes. I can watch Movies in English but I understand much less and I never get the jokes when typical German joke-pronouncing is missing :<)
…But Digmon was translated in Finnland, too wasn’t it? Because once I found Adventure opening soundtrack in Finnish. But I couldn´t get a better version of it. Mörr <__<
...That voice actor was wasted. I loved that voice but I can’t remember from what movie I knew it already. I´d watch it a second time - sneakish male voices are the best <_< But he talked only...three sentences maybe while whole movie. Everything else was music. Naargh. Phantom fo Opera needs one clear good movie with all novel logic (Personalities and so… Don´t make Phantom more psychopathic than he is. I missed the childhood story in the old Horror movies. Of course: Psychopaths are not scary anymore when their stories are sad. Haha.)
Without seeing Cresses whole body that dress looks awesome. But as soon as it starts floating around epic fail starts x"D

I would still watch the movie in original voices...but the song was nice in Italian. x>
Guess what...many years ago I heard a story how in Germany EVERYTHING is dubbed and I though "...they're really weird." |D At least you proved now it was all true. lol ... That also explain another rumor "German people can't speak English"...of course if EVERYTHING is in German,no need for English.
I've heard that main reason for subbed programs here was lack of resources (not enough money/time/fitting people...I doubt money was the main reason)...so Finnish rather sub everything, and usually people don't even like dubbed programs (I mean all life action programs). Kids shows are usually dubbed for kids sake. Like just Digimon. And I actually liked it (...NOT that first dubbing group, though, Agapio fails and hard). I don't have anything against dubbed not-life action shows but every time when I see a real human talking in another language than his/her mouth moves, I just get damn annoyed. D<
Must say you're lucky...not many games appear in Finnish. |> English is more than common thing in games. Some little guides can be in Finnish but games self in English.
...Now there's a Phantomrai and I just realized that if he has same kind of voice than in 10th movie (...I've heard English and Finnish version YES even 10th Pokémon movie is dubbed in Finnish and that is rare!...oh well Pokémon the show somewhat continues in Finland too but no hope about Digimon...) he cannot sing prettily at all. ._o

One thing I missed on musical movie was 1) original face )Phantom does NOT have a nose. But that thing had to be childfree /D And more blood is needed... I´d wish for a combination form the musical and Horror movie - no idea which of those horrible many movies it was thought…
It´s not a rumor. Germans can´t speak English. You have at least 10 years English in school and people would keep talking on same level as I wrote when if risk came to dA. English is necessary for computer sonly. Coding is not translated... not much at least *cough* x"D
I mean… I can´t tell now anything that appears in English only here. RARE computer games maybe? Maybe maybe. But at least options and menus are German then…. Hrm… I know Crono Trigger game is always English only but that´s just because it´s tradition. No. Can’t tell anything that is not translated /“D
...A matter of language too. AND movie quality. On those first few senses from Phantom of opera you could see different language .__." On Transformers movie it´s almost not possible to notice that. They change the sentences a bit to make things fitting. But long Finnish words maybe would be more hard to use in dubs than similar length of German ones.
Pokégames are German too. Bethought those are something I sometimes would prefer in E glish. (Are there any Finish Pokégames by the way? :>)it´s hard to talk with people over Pokémon. I always have to look what English names were again x"D What´s a Knackrack? Or a Lavados?. Or a Glurak? Or a Turtok,a Ratzfratz, a Lohgock etc. etc.
Pokéname dubs are so ridiculous .__." Japanese names are most of the time okay. English ones are better for children tongues. BUT why changing them again into German version? .__o" There´d be no need to do that.
Darkrai would be an awful singer x"D Cresselia is better. Hrm... So there is a finish Pokémovie number 10? I´ll have to try to find it somewhere at least. No Digimon continue? Möööh :<
Oh well... German version of Frontier and Savers was THAT awful I preferred japaneese version which is rare too. I always watch German things (I can draw then, play DS or doing something different) No need to read on talking only scenes) when possible but THAT was NOT possible X__x Masaru... NARGH!

...I should read the book one day, I seemed better than move...
dA has been pretty good place to learn English (no matter most of people don't talk English as their first language and some use leet speak "u r awsum i liek ur art 4evr"...) Well I have better English than those about five years ago I joined to this place. x> At first I needed a dictionary and messed with prepositions and temporal forms much more than now.
Not any single Pokémon game in Finnish. Cards are English.
....Knackrack? Sounds like my printer when paper goes inside a bit wrong and then something sticks inside...
Finnish people often pronounce pokémon names in Finnish way, though. English person won't understand if I say Electrode because I say (note: written like a Finn would pronounce it, don't think English spelling) "elektrode" and English is about like "ilektroud"... Actually it was really disturbing when in 10th movie dub they pronounced pokémon and people's names in English way...even English attacks! (Usually attacks were translated in anime and some previous movies)... Whuttahell "Daakrai", should say "Darkrai" with strrrong r's like a Finn. |< ... Yes, I use English pokémon names but usually pronounced them like a Finn. |D
[link] <- It's not named properly just because those internet trolls wouldn't find it and claim it to be removed...I got the link via somebody too. This is part one, following parts can be find there easily...
But this explains the name! [link]

Ah and now I almost forgot it:
Thanks for the links x) YouTube is annoying with it´s deleting all the time. I had some problems already now to search the Italian version of Phantom because everything was deleted. (But yes. Italy´s Version is nice <3)
... I knew Anime-style uses many random, nouns but SERIOUSLY. What-the-hell? x"D
Hu,hu,hu,hu,hu,hu. many huh´s during just one single movie x)

I haven´t read it myself thought. Can´t tell anything about the book :>
Wait... Are at least the Books in Finish there? X"D
Best way to tell what Knackracks name sounds like x"D There is a Knacklion too... by the way x) And they are not even from the same evo-line x) German names simply fail.
...First I didn´t even got the joke when I read "Elektrode". After all I have horrible mixed German-English pronouncing. When I know an English word and heard it a few times I think the English ay. For everything else I use straight German. And Finish Elektrode sounds a bit like German with an accent /D
(Best word is ridiculous. I pronounce it "ridikulus". Sounds a bit like Nikolaus and I never can take that word too serious /D)
Luckily Finish never sounds too strange to me. That Finnland-Fangirl who was a year there showed me much Finnish things and taught me a bit the pronouncing. (Because my way to pronounce “Tampere” made her laugh ._o”)

Luckily books in common are translated but not really all...for example my studying material is mostly English. x>
...now I would like to hear how did you pronounce Tampere since I live here a half time and I just can't pronounce it wrong. |'D

Schwarznebel In reply to Sysirauta [2010-10-03 19:28:41 +0000 UTC]
Oh well... But at least it is something ._o Translated books are better to read than English ones. At leats I think :>
...
Tampere... well... Let´s say like a German would do it. Common flat "Tamp" no English a - just flat latine similar. Then an "er" like from "Erde" (Looong e, short weak r) with a typical last e-letter at the end. (The word "apple" works pretty much to descripe that). With other words: Not too different but common german accent AND no strong R. Two little things that make it sound pretty different /"D
