Hello brick wall?

As I said in the journal entry, this story has been a long time in coming. The idea to make it started to arise during formally writing Devil's Blood. Due to that fact that story was altered here and there to help create the setup for this one. Also other stories had changes made to them to have this one happen.

Team Time Troubles had a note inserted into it which nodded to this story. Smoke, Steam and Mirrors had a slip in as well. But this opening? That wasn't originally part of the idea. It become part of the idea when I realized it worked into this very well! What happened after the events in 1895? Sure Jocelyn and Patrick would easy guess be having adventures but anything else of value to the AU? Considering they had the goal to combat VILE ... what if they helped found ACME? What if ... nah, that's coming very soon. All I'll say to that is Jocelyn has been helpful inspiration that decades down the line ... I'll shut up now.

Anyway as for these others in the room? Chester and Cheri are nods to essentially two versions of Chief in the Carmen Sandiego fandom. Chester, the Chief in the 90's animated series. Cheri is sort of a double nod. The Netflix series and also the PBS game show, the Netflix version which has been said to take it's idea from the game show. Greg is well unless the actor who is Greg Lee ( fiction here Leeds ) ever was put represent with the video games. His idea strictly is coming from the PBS show. Although since there is no need in this AU for a game show host. Here he helps with representing ACME to others.

I think this is a no brainer but for anyone really really not paying attention, Jocelyn in no way would appear here as she did in Smoke, Steam and Mirrors. Remember in that story there is an off comment I have her say once about having been born in '65. Yeah by 1948 she's up there a bit in years.

VILE won't be appearing in this story at all but numerous villains from the Inspector Gadget fandom will be. New and old faces. Even one that unless one piece of art done months ago had attention paid to it .. you might figure out one villain coming up who hasn't really had concept art for this yet.

Something unexpected happened the other day connected to all this. I know I can normally submit pages to the Inspector Gadget groups. However since the Carmen Sandiego elements show themselves more in this story than before. Well I tried to locate a group I could submit these pages to for that fandom. In simply asking permission to submit work to a group which at first was really only meant for the 2019 Netflix series, the group's owner invited me to be a contributor!

I unlocked the folders since no one could really submit work before without a formal vote or suggested submission. If you'd like to join the group I am sure the group's owner would be happy ( it only has 20 members ).

Another note here. So far this only applies to DA and FF.net . A corrected version of Devil's Blood has replaced the draft which I didn't realize needed more proofing. ( Seriously the amount of proofing that story has gotten is unbelievable. )
