Celestia and Luna agreed to never speak about the innocent pony that they blew up.So I've been wanting to make this comic for awhile now (I mean I thought of this one back before summer started) and I'm just getting around to making it (PS, this is how I spent my birthday, doing nothing but work on this comic).
I knew I needed a doctor for this comic, but I couldn't use doctor from the show or Nurse Redheart, so I had to make up my own. I thought about making an original character, but then I thought, "I'll just make it JD from Scrubs!" He's not a unicorn, he's a horse with a sword on its head that protects my hopes and dreams. And I thought about making his cutie mark something medical related but then I thought "www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9movn… "

Good choice, it's one of my favorite shows of all time (hence the freakout). It had a good run with its surreal/slice-of-life convention; I've certainly never seen anything of the like before.

Yeah, I was watching it all summer (except for season 9, my sister tells me it's not worth my time)
But I enjoyed everything so far. I LOVED JD because of his fantasies, the show was great and it still would have been successful without them, but the fantasies just made it perfect.
I was debating whether or not to make Doctor Cox instead of JD, but I felt like JD was the more of an iconic character that would have been easily recognized (you got that it was JD without even reading the distinction, Cox I think would have been a bit harder to notice)

Season 9 was a sadly half-hearted attempt at reviving the series. Too much new cast that people weren't used to at all. It just felt exhausted, like chewing old gum.
Heheh, I once came up with the idea of a pony Dr Cox being called Dr Bux. But deciding whether he should have his little curls for a mane or a shaved head wasn't easy. That and coming up with a sociopathy cutie mark. XD

Yeah, I felt like it kinda ruined the whole JD got a new job and had to leave his friends behind in the series finale. Plus they pretty much said the Janitor wasn't in this season, so what's the point...
And I didn't really like that Dave Franco character (looked like James Franco, acted like Bieber, sounded like a nasally dweeb)
Took me a second to understand the Bux pun XD
I would have in the first panel it's short, in the second panel it's shaved, then blonde and curls in the third panel, then have it shaved again
Just like Season 6 XD
I think I would have done short curls to be honest, as for a cutie mark I was thinking something medical related or an opened mouth for his rants
