You watched him work, his eyes drooping and sliding shut every once and while as he kicked into the extra energy he had stored, which in itself, wasn’t a whole lot. He’d been doing this to himself for a couple of weeks now, and you decided it was time for you to go spend time with him at his lab because he wasn’t making it home and it was getting you worried. He told you that he was sleeping in the lab, and you didn’t doubt that. You noticed when you first walked in, that there was indeed a mattress sitting snug in the corner, along with a couple of pillows and blankets. Despite the comfy looking conditions, he looked like a bus had ran over him a thousand times. Sitting up in your chair, you grabbed your wallet and said to him gently, “I’m going to get a tea, want me to get you o—-”

“Can you get me a coffee?” He muttered, picking up a tiny screw before setting it down where it needed to go. Humming gently, you stood behind him, kissed his head, for he wasn't wearing his hat at the moment and muttered something along the times of, ‘I’ll be back.’ He only nodded as a response as he heard you shuffle behind him before leaving. It was okay, you said to yourself, that he’s like that… This project is life or death to him.

All in all, it took roughly half an hour to walk to the nearest coffee shop, get your orders before getting back to Tadashi. Holding the hot cups in your hands, you kicked his lab door open slowly and shrunk yourself inside of the room. “Hey, I’m back, ‘Dashi.” You could hear his music playing softly in the background and as you sat your cup down slowly, you held onto his as you looked up. His head was on the table, his mouth slightly agape and from what you could tell, he was mumbling incoherently. Chuckling gently, you sat his cup down on the side desk and sat down next to him gently. “Hey, hey…” He jolted slightly when he felt your fingers touch his back. He mmm'd under your touch, relaxing once again. “If you’re gonna sleep, can you help me move you to the make-shift bed?”

Tadashi groaned out, sitting up slightly and looking at you tiredly. He stood wobbly, as you touched his chest to assure he didn't tumble back. “M’okay, babe.” He muttered down to you as he and you made your way to the bed. He tumbled down right away, curling up tightly within a few different blankets. Giggling down at him, you noticed his navel skin peeking out from under his shirt as he moved around to get comfortable. His face was pressed gently against his pillow. Groaning once again, he gazed up at you, his eyes telling you that he wanted to snuggle more than anything. Smiling, you laughed softly, kicking off your shoes before sliding in next to him. “You’re so warm.” He dug his face into your neck as your arms wrapped around him tightly. “Wake me up in an hour….”

You looked down at him as his eyes fell shut again, brushing his hair out of his face gently. “Okay, okay, you big baby.”
