This skin is supposed to be on Devart on the 28th of Oct. 'cos it's our 17th B'day.It started out as a pixel-by-pixel skin but i later decided to add a little 3D aswell.
Let me see...i have to thank Fyre Skins for letting me use the text.bmp file from his Atlantis Meridian skin. Thank you!
And other than the text.bmp , the rest is purely original. I say this 'cos some punk saw our previous skin and called it a rip on his comment. It's not that i hate him or anything but it kinda gets you down when you work really hard to make these things and someone comes along and calls it a rip!
I won't go mentioning names i'm not like that.

I think you should redo the pl. I absolutely love this skin, but I cant use it because the pl is too blurry. I will give you one dollar if you remake the pl.... Please sir...

Only cripe is the playlist, maybe add some of that background dim cross patterned stuff shown in the other main screens to the pl background too.
I always kinda think its generally good to use the same cbutton design shown in the main screen and use them in the pledit screen aswell, just a personal thing I guess.
You may want to just add small play/pause/stop..etc characters to the main screen aswell, just to finish the skin off and keep the whingers off ur back ;P
Seems like every new rustic type skin is using those eq slider background scroll nowadays (?).
Can't wait for ur next edit though .. if there happens to be one of course.

very cool, as for the preset, i need to know what that is, it sorta resembles a diff plugin called "climax" cept im sure that this one is a lot nicer, im looking forward to seeing this updated.

Thank you everyone for the great feedback on the skin. It's nice to know some of the pros and cons on the skin. Maybe i'll make an update sometime.

However, there are still parts of the skin I really like. The volume slider effect is awesome. Though it is somewhat counter-intuitive when the image to the left of it brightens when the volume is decreased and dulls when the volume is increased. It's still nice. The box that holds the timer and analyzer looks nice and clean. And overall, one has to appreciate the detail that went into making the background.
I think this is where the winamp2 skinning trend is headed. Not only in the dark grungy look, but also in sacrificed usability. I honestly feel like I've seen this skin before since it is kind of trendy, but it looks nice - probably for the same reason.

It's a nice skin but it has its flaws.
Like in its usability.
There are some critical buttons that are hard to use and see, or are missing altogether. I have to put my nose up to the screen and squint just to be able to determine if certain buttons are toggled--like the shuffle, repeat, EQ, and PL in the main; the ON and AUTO in the eq; and what song is selected in the playlist. The menus on the Playlist aren't labeled either. I can understand you expecting people to have memorized the cbuttons in the main, therefore not labeling them so as not to sacrifice a clean design. But not labeling the menu buttons in the playlist is pure laziness in my opinion. I'd gripe about the unlabeled buttons in the minibrowser too, but then who really uses the mb anyways? Another large disappointment is the missing buttons, which are usually next to the time and spectrum analyzer.
I should also point out some flaws in the background design. The various wires in this skin aren't smooth looking, like they weren't antialiased correctly. And the look of the playlist doesn't fit well. Where as the rest of the skin has great detail, the playlist is only a simple bevel. It's strange when it looks like more work was put into creating the minibrowser than the playlist.

Fantastic! Nice dark skin (I like dark skins). Only minor drawback are the cbuttons... a bit tiny and with no icons. Anyway... gratz, it's impressive!
