Description "Our ordinary mind always tries to persuade us that we are nothing but acorns and that our greatest happiness will be to become bigger, fatter, shinier acorns; but that is of interest only to pigs. Our faith gives us knowledge of something better: that we can become oak trees."
- E.F. Schumacher

Amazing! When I saw this beautiful ocean picture with swans underneath the sunset I just HAD to click on it and I'm glad I did! I have no idea how you created such a detailed ocean. The ocean alone must have taken hours to finish, on top of everything else! Not just with the ripples but the shadow towards the front and the light bouncing off of it from the final rays of the setting sun.

You even went to quite a length of effort with the swans, especially the inside of the upright one's wings. You really managed to capture the grace and beauty of one of Earth's most gorgeous animals which is rarely if ever easy.

Another thing I really admire is the colouring of the clouds, with which you've managed to depict a beautifully perfect sunset, which is something I STILL haven't learned how to do!

Of course, my favorite thing about the piece is the human-like tree on the island. I didn't notice immediately but, of course, that makes it all the more enjoyable when the viewer does notice it. There's a lot of attention to detail on this figure alone as well as the rest of the piece. I love the dramatic pose that it's taking as well!

You've really produced some astounding work in this piece and if I had to rate it, I'd easily score it 10/10.
Thank you for sharing this amazing piece with us!

This is absolutely very well done! I love the way you painted the sea. You definately put a lot of effort into details! The tree looks amazing, but my favourite part of this piece is the sunset/sunrise... The reflection of it on water is incredible! I am speechless..

This my critique, (sorry it might be bad it's my first time critiquing art)
Very nice piece of art, I don't know much about acrylic painting on canvas but I would love to see the doves stand out a little more from the water. It seems like the focus points are the trees and the doves, yet my eyes are drawn to the water. Try to lower the saturation of the water and the sky to really make the main points pop out. Your lighting in the water and in the tree is extremely good, I'm blown away but it. However the tree epsically the top of the tree could use more of a tree color, like at the base of the tree. The textureing in the water is just beautiful and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Overall well done piece but the main points need a little more pop in them.

very nice! the water is incredibly drawn, such high detail and is absolutely believable!

The tree could do with some greater highlights, and shadows. The sky itself, with some high value highlights (brighter). Beautiful idea and keep up the great work!

Absolutely stunning. I  loved what you portrayed with the oak tree! I also liked how you did the sea, and the sunset just adds to the atmosphere. Beautiful work with a beautiful meaning. I felt very intrigued and attracted to this painting.
