Nick retired from official basketball a long time ago. He has been through a lot since then. He was usually the coach of the state team. They achieved quite a lot of success with his support. However, the many responsibilities took a toll on him, so a friend invited him to his school to replace the gym teacher while he recovered from his surgery.
Nick accepted this and saw it as a mental recovery from the stress of his job. He was shocked by the boys in the class whom he had to teach. The boys were incredibly tall despite their young age. The shorter boys were not far behind Nick's height of 210 cm (6'11), and at that time Nick even wore shoes while the boys lined up in front of him barefoot. This amazing height would make any boy the tallest in the school, but here they were just the shortest. For the tallest boy, Nick only reached his chest.
It was here that Nick saw that time had passed over him in all sorts of ways. After the lesson, he told the boys that if anyone wants to play basketball professionally in the future, they should contact him.
