Just wanted to show you what I did when I was bored. Using a high speed vid of a running cheetah by national geographic. 15 mins, PS CS3. Not sure I will ever finish it. But it's good practice to get things more realistic. Like I figured out that unlike most horses and canines, cheetahs run in a rotary gallop. Interesting.Although I realised I made a mistake in the sketches. On one point the run cycle has a little hickup, when his frontlegs leave the ground. But I am too lazy to fix it.
Anyway, enjoy my boredom sketches.

Cheetahs are amazing to watch in slow mo. Love how this looks so far!!!!! Yeah like someone else mentioned, adding the spine flexing and extending wlll make this even better.

good job! Don't be afraid to let the spine flex, its a unique trait cheetahs have that allows them a longer stride when fully extended.
