This reminds me of somethinf I saw on TV waaaay back in the '90s.
There was a cartoon show on TV called 'Captain Simian And The Space Monkeys.' Yes, really! It was about a group of Monkey space pirates who had all sorts of adventures. And notably, Captain Simian himself was voiced by the actor and now US radio personality Jerry Doyle, who us nerds know as Mr. Garibaldi in Babylon 5.
Anyhoo, there was an episode of this show where the monkeys found an abandoned spaceship, and ventured aboard.
I remember almost spilling my coffee in amazement as a 15-minute Alien pastiche played out on kids' TV, replete with the alien parasite leaping from its egg and latching onto one of the minor characters' buttocks.
Once in a while, kids' TV throws these little gems up.
