Description
Another taken in PEI while on vacation... such were the sights we saw driving on the highway next to the sea... no towns nearby, just the scattering of farms...Update: The bright yellow crop grown here is Canola.

It's a magnificent photograph which looks almost like a painting.
I don't know why, but it somehow reminds me of my favourite place in Poland. The image is stunning and leaves me amazed.
What I really like is the combinations of colours: blue, green, yellow and brown. I simply adore the composition too, placing the house on the left was a great idea. A thing that really catches eye, but is not very important or significant in the photo, are these two parallel lines which lead to the sea. Somehow it makes the photo more interesting and mysterious.
Amazing piece with wonderful use of technique.e.deviantart.com/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="

Gorgeous! A bit surreal. You wouldn't expect to see a field of crops so close to a body of water like this. is that the ocean?

Gorgeous capture! I wish I could do more than stare it. I'd like to be there and run through that field of Canola. That beautiful rustic building in the midst of all that glorious yellow is the perfect complement.

I can just about feel a nice, cool breeze wafting through that field whilst looking at this photo... The softness of the yellow sea of flowers (they are flowers, right?) nicely helps enhance that feeling.

It was really strange, I was looking at the picture and I was like ooh yellow and then I came to the farmshed and I was like what an odd place to have it. It caught me off guard and I think that's what I like about the picture, there is all this color and then FARMSHED... it made me giggle.

Huh. This is way cool! It's almost like a box within the frame... my first thought a photo in a photo. Made me think twice. Not to mention the clarity and colors are absolutely rich and attractive.

Well, I don't have a subscription at all, but I can still do a critique manually!
What I find in the picture is the feeling that makes people feel like they are floating.
I love that feeling, and you have captured it very well.
It also makes me feel like I am home, in a place where I have never been before.
You also took the picture at the right time because of the tire tracks (?) that bring movement throughout the photograph, which also makes your eyes move around, and around, and around again.
The photo is extremely well balanced. It uses the rule of thirds effectively to a point where I could look at this for and hour or so and still not get bored with it.
All in all, incredibly simple, but extremely well executed, which is the basic fundamental of good photography.
You could try to make the piece complex, or flashy with a darkroom, but good, basic, untouched photgraphy will always beat any other photograph.
As for a grade of some sort, I don't find any weaknesses, so, to my eye, it is flawless.

I think it might be a prerequisite to being Canadian that you've taken at least one photo of a field of canola.

This is beautiful! The minimalism and simplicity is fantastic! The composition is also spot on. I love the use of lines as well as the nicely contrasting colors of the yellow and blue. Great job

There's a small town you pass on the way to the coast here in California which resembles this view very much.
Great work.

It's really cool how the colors blend like a painting, yet it's real. I especially like the tire marks.
