Oh for crying out loud, she's a little kid. Some kids are a little pudgy.
Though I still don't get art of ponies with belly buttons.

Well ponies do have belly buttons. Just we can't see them cause of fur. Though since we attach human qualities to these ponies and they act human like. It is only natural to add a belly button to an empty tummy.
I myself enjoy the tummy button.

I've never understood why weight matters.
Its what you look like on the outside that matters.

I think your comment might have been mixed up. It seems to be contradictory.
If you don't understand why weight matters but think what matters is how you look on the outside. Then weight would matter as your weight can affect how you look on the outside a lot.
I think you meant to say, "It's what you look like on the inside that matters." Then again your insides don't look to good in my opinion. All those organs and stuff. Ewwww! Just Kidding!

No I meant what I said. Weight can mean different things.
If a girl has muscle tone I'm not going to be thinking about how she weighs 15 lbs more than the twig walking next to her.
Twigs with no muscle, gross. I put them in the same category as morbidly obese because both have one thing in common which is they both don't do anything and in some cases just can't.
You're right about one thing though, the inside matters, because if on the inside you're a person that is afraid of running a mile or less, I can tell without even meeting you what you look like on the outside.

I was going to write a big response to this, but decided to not. I agree with some of what you wrote. I also disagree the attitude you show. It makes you look very superficial. Like you only care on how the package looks and not that it might be filled with day old garbage.
Still it seem I miss understood your first post. I may have miss understood your second one as well.
So I will leave it at this. You have some good pics in your favorites. I can agree with you on that.

"Superficial" is a term I find too dismissive.
Whats on the inside and whats on the outside correlate, they don't contradict.

Are you referring to insides as in actual insides? Like if they look unhealthy on the outside, then they are unhealthy on the insides?
Or are you saying that if they are unhealthy looking on the outside they have unhealthy spirits and personalities.
Cause your previous comment makes it sound like you think that people who look good and healthy are better people. Not just physically but personality wise as well. Like they are nicer, kinder, smarter and just better all together. That is what your comment makes you sound. If you are being literal and referring to the persons guts inside then I was miss reading you.

People who look good and healthy are better people.
They have stronger wills, they're more dependable, harder working, and have a better sense of conviction.
They don't allow their selfish impulses to get the better of them and embody the difference between Type-A personalities and Type-B personalities.

Well I guess I did not miss-understand you. Still while I think your view is very off. Your welcome to it. I myself am chunky. I play lots of video games and don't have the best diet. Yet I still ride 6 miles every day to work on my bike. I am on my feet constantly moving for 6-8 hours and I work 3-4 times harder and am more productive then most of the "Better People" at my employment. I have felt the sting and abuse of your "Better People" for most of my childhood and watch as many of these "Better People" take advantage of others. Not working hard, but expecting others to be dependable and work hard for them. While I have experience this from those that you define as "Better People". I do not think that everyone who looks good and healthy are self centered arses. I know everyone is different.
Still feel free to hold onto your view. This was an interesting discussion.

Awww BURN!
Wait.... Apple Bloom! AB is not chunky. She works on a farm. Sure maybe not as much as AJ or Mac but she does do more choirs and work then either of the others. For a filly. I bet she is ripped. She is just bigger cause she is an earth pony.

Yeah, they do appear chubby in the show as fillies, but they're also stumpy. With hooves as close together as the colts and fillies have, I'm surprised they don't trip all over themselves!

I think Lauren wanted to make them more base off of real girls in a ponyified version. Except for Fleur, maybe that's why I like the show.

Do you mean "real" as in average, non-idealized, looks? There's a few reasons as to why that wouldn't make sense in this situation. The first one is they still all have the same exact proportions and looks, with few exceptions. This is because it's easier to use the same models for animation instead of making more unique ones, the same applying to the toys. Another possible reason for this is most horses have very similar looks in terms of size and shape. I've never seen a fat horse. They can't be overweight, or else they risk serious health problems. They need very specific amounts of diet and exercise, or else they risk things like joint problems, or colic, which is the number one cause of death in horses, since if they overeat they literally can't throw up.
I understand the moral/ideal you're suggesting, and I'm not saying I'm against it, really I'm not, but it just doesn't apply here.

I just normally see a little chub on girls in my daily life, and I just think that the Mane 6 kinda represent that in a way, not like it's a bad thing or anything.
