Now past its 1500th issue.
I attended the one -and only- Rhocon ever held in the US of A. While I did see Forrest J. Ackerman and met the authors, the attendance , organization and presenting of the events was below par, and I left before the closing banquet. I ate a snack at the bus terminal canteen instead. The art show -incl. original art for the covers of the Fuzzy Sapiens novels by H. Beam Piper -was better.
The official report in the Rhodan ACE books exaggerated its success. At least 1-2 future cons were cancelled and I never saw any further ads.
