This is my entry for the Tomb Raider Reborn Contest!! Original image is 9000x7000 pixels, resized to 4500x3500 for your viewing pleasure. You can zoom in several times in the full view!

Now, I've been excited for this game since it was first announced. I remember seeing the trailer on TV during E3 and rightly freaking out because I WANTED TO PLAY IT. When this contest was started, within minutes I was working on different layouts for my entry. I have literally been working on this piece for about a month.

I would also like to note I am getting married this Saturday. When the release date for Tomb Raider was announced, I realized it was a week before I got married. And I knew I had to beat it before then. No ifs ands or buts, I've been wanting to play this game for a long long time. I've been working on this image for a long time too, instead of working on centerpieces for my own reception. I had to split my free time between booking DJ's and caterers, and working on this image. That's how excited I was for this game and this contest.

Jay (my fiance) and I got this game on Steam the night it came out, and it BLEW US AWAY. Not only are the graphics beautiful, we were on the edge of our seats the entire time. There were literally moments I had to hand over the controller because I couldn't handle the suspense! And there were just times in the story were you just had to go 'DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN?!' I adored Roth and Lara's relationship, btw.

I think it paid off very well. This is actually my favorite piece to date! I love how the contrast came out, which was one of my main goals. Showing the darkness of the game, everything Lara had to go through. And I finished before the deadline, which I think I should get a medal for, haha!

...and now I'm off to work on making paper roses for my centerpieces. LOL.
