Hi, I'm still studying character design.This concept is similar to the previous image.
I trying to simple & silhouette-centered design.
and this time, I try to draw kind man.
He has a strong sense of justice! haha

Nice concept, beautiful armor and stylish weapons. Just a thing to notice, most armors have the strongest shoulder pad on the side of the shield, because that's generally the one is getting hit from. But that is just a recommendation, it looks fine just as is.

I see him as a cross between Capitan America, cause of the red and white, and Prince of Persia cause I think of the sword. Is this an original or a take on a character? Brilliant, love him.

He looks amazing. More than deserving of the "awesomest final fantasy character created next to Lightning" that is if he were a FF character. I love the touches of red that you threw into the design instead of just keeping it completely white.

Very cool character, he definitely has a recognizable silhouette. My only concern is his sword, for a heroic or good guy type the sword design seems a little sinister looking particularly the hilt. The blade's pretty cool though and definitely adds to the uniqueness of this character.

How are you studying character design? Just coming up with random ideas and putting them to paper or...actually going through and doing research for it?

One can never come with ideas without references. However if you're long enough in the business you can draw things just from different ideas and pasting them together into something new.

Reminds me a lot of Assassins Creed 2, but it's a nice variation

I didn't want to say anything but the first thing I notice was that it looked like Ezio. That's not to detract from the design though. Still a great concept.

Mm, to me it's more about the silhouette of the clothes (like how the end part of his coat ends), the design elements (the shoulder brace, the belt elements which was commonly found in AC) and the colour palette (which reflects the trademark colours of AC2)

Still, you've made effort in varying the designs, and I can see your idea is there

indeed he does look like AC... but the weapon, the shield, the mark on his tabard make us forget about Ezio, Altair, etc.

tbh i always thought the main character designs in the assassins creed series were kind of over the top and muddled. there's some similar motifs in this but honestly i think the design work in this picture's heaps stronger than ac

well, I havent even started college yet, but I'm thinking I may get a more general art degree for undergrad, then go to a private art school for post-grad, because it seems only the private art colleges offer the specific areas I would like to go into, which is animation and illustration, those are the 2 categories I am looking at atm, as for the specifics, I dont have those yet xD
