The crying tree, a native plant of the Northern Sky Forests, does not actually cry. It's environment being above or in the weather line, it cannot receive water from rain. In order to get water, specialized tendrils running down the sides of the tree with suck in water from cloud vapor. This water is run through the tree to pump carbon dioxide, and is then released out of special vacuoles in the trunk, creating the 'crying' effect. These trees are the only source of oxygen in the high, mountainous climate.
